Last night’s Senior Pathways Information Evening was attended by over 200 students and their families.
School Captain Brooke Munday emphasised the importance of choosing subjects carefully. Brooke then introduced the Principal Ms Wendy Caramarco, who formally welcomed all in attendance.
Presentations were made by Assistant Principal Ms Sally Lasslett, who outlined the College’s VCE program for 2014.
Mr Luke and Ms Christine Ellis (Team Ellis) provided an overview of the Intermediate and Senior VCAL Programs and encouraged senior students to complete an Expression of Interest form.
Careers & Pathways Manager Mr Brian Howley then provided information about the overall course counselling process and what is expected of students during this time.
2014 courses were outlined and students collected their handbooks and Bar Coded Subject Selection sheets. At the completion of the formal presentation, students and parents were able to talk to individual subject teachers.
Year 10 students were able to book their Progression Interviews which will be conducted this Thursday at the College. These interviews will assist students to clarify the best course for them as they plan their future.
Current Year 10 and 11 students not in attendance at the evening will need to see Mr Howley to collect the required documentation.
A huge thank you to all staff, students and families who attended, making the night a great success.
