The Mitchell Shire Council in collaboration with Mitchell Youth Services today launched, 'Cyber Tattoo - It's there for Life'. The aim of the project is to create a social media campaign that includes the design and formation of online tips, marketing and merchandise creation and youth workshops, in consultation with young people.
The main object being to generate awareness for online safety and assist young people to be respectful and responsible online. Hence the slogan 'Cyber Tattoo - It's there for Life'. It encourages young people to pause before they post, once it's out there there, it's permanent and there is no way to get it back.
Wallan Secondary College was fortunate to be involved in the launch. Guest speakers included Mayor Rodney Parker, Danielle Green MP and Eleisha Kubale Youth Council Mayor. Dignitaries in attendances were CEO Rebecca Mckenzie and Mitchell Shire Councillors.
