China Visit

Whilst there Ms Mozina visited No 21 High School located in Tianjin. The school has 3000 students and over 300 staff. Students in Years 7 - 9 attend school from 8.30am - 5.30pm, Year 10 attend school from 8.30am - 7.30pm and Year 11 and 12 attend until 9.30pm, 6 days a week. Students do a variety of subjects similar to those studied at Wallan Secondary College but also learn English from Prep. Students complete exercise classes together every morning and have many different clubs to join such as chess, gardening, all sports, debating, music, and performance. The school is very proud of the number of Table Tennis Champions it produces. Their trophy cabinets are quite impressive. The school has an entire building filled with table tennis tables and it is very popular sport for their students. Although it was a huge school compared to WSC with some major differences there were also many similarities.
Ms Mozina was lucky to squeeze in a visit to the Great Wall of China, which she says was breathtaking and not just from climbing all those stairs.
